Is sports betting legal in Nebraska?

Nebraska allows sports betting only in person at its licensed racetrack casinos; mobile sportsbooks are not legal, and a push to put them on the 2026 ballot died in the Legislature.

The law in Nebraska, in plain English

Voters approved casinos at licensed racetracks in 2020, and in-person sports betting followed under the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission. There is no statewide app, and a proposed constitutional amendment (LR20CA) to let voters add mobile betting in 2026 stalled. State law also restricts wagers on Nebraska's own college teams, so Huskers games played in the state are off the board at those books.

From anywhere in Nebraska, the federally regulated option is a prediction market. Novig lists every Nebraska game and is available statewide, alongside Kalshi and Polymarket US.
