Wisconsin hosts No. 16 USC in prime time on NBC: kickoff time and how to watch
Wisconsin hosts No. 16 USC at Camp Randall Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with the Trojans favored at -135 on Novig.

Wisconsin gets a national prime-time stage Saturday night. The Badgers host No. 16 USC at Camp Randall Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. CT), and NBC has the broadcast, Badgers Wire reports. Noah Eagle and Todd Blackledge will call the game, according to The Sporting News. Viewers without cable can stream it on Fubo and DirecTV, and Sports Illustrated lists Peacock and the NBC Sports app as well.
On radio, the Badger Radio Network has the home call. SiriusXM is carrying both teams' broadcasts nationally, Wisconsin on channel 85 and USC on channel 231.
The game falls at a turning point for both teams. Wisconsin is 4-2 under Luke Fickell, and The Sporting News described this season as the first real sign of progress after several flat years. Wins over Penn State and Michigan State back that up, but the Badgers managed just one touchdown in last week's 17-7 loss at UCLA. USC comes to Madison at 6-1 after two straight wins. Quarterback Jayden Maiava threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns on 21-of-33 passing in the 31-23 win at Penn State.
What it means Saturday night
The teams have one opponent in common, and it says something. Both won at Penn State, USC by eight points and Wisconsin by four. The rest of the two seasons look very different. USC averages about 36 points a game but allows roughly 25. In its last four games, the Trojans gave up 41 to Oregon and 35 to Rutgers. Wisconsin has been the stingier team, allowing about 17 points per game. But the Badgers' offense, at about 27.5 points a game, has stalled against the best teams on the schedule: 13 points against Notre Dame and seven against UCLA. Wisconsin is 3-1 at home this season, and the loss was the 41-13 game against Notre Dame.
The market expects a close game. On this site's board, which tracks 11 venues, USC is favored at -135 on the moneyline at Novig. Wisconsin is +133 there, and the best Badgers price anywhere is +135 at theScore Bet, so the venues are close on who wins. The spread is less settled. Novig has USC -2.5 at -108 and Wisconsin +2.5 at +106. BetRivers has the Trojans at -2 (-124), and BetMGM gives Wisconsin a full field goal at +3 (-115). Three points is a key number in football, so that half-point gap carries more weight than usual.
Novig and BetMGM both set the total at 49.5. Novig prices the over at -111 and the under at +102, and theScore Bet has the highest line at 50.5. That total sits well below what the two teams combine to average, which suggests the market expects Wisconsin's defense to slow the game down. Sportsbook hold runs from about 3% to 6.7% across the board.
The result will shape the rest of the season for both teams. USC hosts Ohio State on Oct. 31, and Wisconsin plays at Iowa the same day.
