UCLA coach Bob Chesney was happy Monday after his Bruins won at Oregon, but he still had a complaint about the game. Chesney took aim at Ducks defensive tackle Bear Alexander, who swung his arm at quarterback Nico Iamaleava's head after Iamaleava had already been ruled down by contact.

ClutchPoints reported that Chesney called the play "egregious." Iamaleava was hurt on that same play and left the game. Alexander was not removed and kept playing. "It's a shame that it was missed," Chesney told reporters, according to ClutchPoints.

Alexander caused problems for the UCLA offensive line the rest of the afternoon, and Oregon's front finished with four tackles for loss. The Ducks' offense is what lost the game. UCLA intercepted quarterback Dylan Raiola twice, and backup Brock Thomas fumbled a snap late, a turnover that ClutchPoints said decided the game in the Bruins' favor.

The road win stands as the biggest of Chesney's career, according to the outlet, counting his time at James Madison. It also evened a score from last season. The Ducks beat Chesney 51-34 in the College Football Playoff.

The cost was Iamaleava. ClutchPoints reported that the Bruins will have to play on without him and that Ty Dieffenbach will take over at quarterback. Iamaleava had been rebuilding his reputation under Chesney after his abrupt exit from Tennessee, and he had run the offense efficiently and with poise during UCLA's unbeaten start.

What's next

UCLA is 5-0 and ranked No. 12. The Bruins host 4-1 Wisconsin at the Rose Bowl on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. EDT on NBC, which will be Dieffenbach's first test as the starter. The market has the game close. UCLA is favored at -122 on Novig, one of the venues pricing the game, and Pinnacle has the best sportsbook number on the Bruins at -127. The spread is UCLA -2.5 and the total is 44.5. That is a thin margin for a top-15 team playing at home, and it suggests the quarterback change is already in the price. Full prices are on the Wisconsin at UCLA odds page.

Oregon falls to 3-2 and will try to steady itself at home against 5-1 Nebraska in a late kickoff, 11 p.m. EDT on Fox. The Ducks are favored despite the loss. They are -257 on Novig, DraftKings has the best sportsbook price on Oregon at -298, and the line is Oregon -7.5 with a total of 52.5. Prices are on the Nebraska at Oregon odds page.

In Eugene, the questions are about ball security after three turnovers decided Saturday's game. Alexander's play could also draw more attention now that an opposing head coach has criticized it publicly.
