Big Ten Week 6 recap: Indiana rallies at Nebraska, UCLA edges Oregon, Illinois survives in OT
Indiana came from 11 down for its 22nd straight win, UCLA beat Oregon despite losing its quarterback, Illinois stopped a two-point try in overtime and Ohio State handled Maryland. Every finished Big Ten result.

Two Big Ten unbeatens nearly fell on Saturday and both got out alive, one with a fourth-down trick play and one with its third-string quarterback. Here is every finished conference result from Week 6. Rankings are from last Sunday's AP poll; the new one comes out tomorrow.
Two games were still being played when this went up: No. 19 USC at Penn State and Minnesota at Purdue. Follow them on the scores page.
No. 7 Indiana 20, Nebraska 17
Nebraska controlled this one for three quarters in Lincoln, led 10-3 at the half and went up 17-6 on Anthony Colandrea's 39-yard touchdown run with 12:01 to play. It was the first time Indiana had trailed at halftime since last season's Big Ten title game. Then Josh Hoover hit Nick Marsh for a 75-yard score on the next snap, and after a defensive stop Indiana faced fourth-and-1 at the Nebraska 44. Hoover faked the handoff into a crowded line and lofted it to a wide-open Marsh for the winning touchdown with 7:13 left. Matt Rhule said afterward that Nebraska had the wrong defensive personnel on the field and should have called timeout.
Marsh finished with six catches for 187 yards and both scores. Hoover was 12 of 22 for 263. Indiana ran for a season-low 65 yards, and Nebraska held the ball for more than 39 minutes. The Hoosiers (6-0) have now won 22 straight, ESPN's Max Olson noted. Nebraska is 5-1.
No. 21 UCLA 17, No. 13 Oregon 15
Ten turnovers, seven of them by Oregon. UCLA lost starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava to a lower leg injury before halftime, and Ty Dieffenbach, who had not played all season, threw the go-ahead 9-yard touchdown to Wayne Knight in the fourth quarter. Knight added 103 rushing yards and a 35-yard touchdown run. Oregon, starting Dylan Raiola with Dante Moore still in concussion protocol, switched to Brock Thomas, whose 44-yard touchdown pass made it 17-15 with 2:16 left; the two-point try was stopped at the goal line. UCLA is 5-0. Oregon falls to 3-2. UCLA's quarterback situation and Oregon's.
No. 5 Ohio State 45, Maryland 16
Julian Sayin threw four touchdown passes, two of them to Jeremiah Smith, who turned his first two touches into scores of 33 and 40 yards. Smith now has 38 career receiving touchdowns, one short of the Big Ten record. Bo Jackson ran for 107 yards and two second-half touchdowns after Maryland's Daniel Wingate returned an interception for a score to make it 31-16. Maryland managed 146 yards. It was Ryan Day's 100th game as Ohio State's coach; he is 87-13. The Buckeyes (5-1) go to Indiana next. Maryland is 2-4 and has lost four straight.
Illinois 38, Michigan State 37 (OT)
Illinois scored on its first five possessions and led 23-7 in the third quarter, then lost quarterback Katin Houser to a left hand injury he suffered making a tackle on an interception return. Michael Clayton II, who had never thrown a college pass, took over and threw two touchdowns. Bret Bielema's decision to go for fourth-and-1 at his own 33 with 3:27 left backfired when Clayton was stopped, and Jaziun Patterson tied it 31-31 with 1:17 to go. Clayton hit Hudson Clement for 25 yards on the first play of overtime. Patterson answered with his third rushing touchdown, and Pat Fitzgerald went for the win, but a wildcat pass fell incomplete. Illinois is 3-3; Michigan State is 2-4 with four straight losses.
No. 20 Iowa 41, Washington 24 (Friday)
Kamari Moulton ran for a career-high 208 yards and two touchdowns, and Jeremy Hecklinski, starting for the injured Hank Brown, threw three touchdown passes on 14-of-19 passing. Iowa led 27-0 before Washington scored and held the Huskies to minus-3 rushing yards. Washington lost quarterback Demond Williams Jr. to a rib injury in the first half. Iowa is 5-1; Washington is 3-3. More on Williams.
Northwestern 45, Ball State 14
Aidan Chiles threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another, and Griffin Wilde caught eight passes for 144 yards. Robert Fitzgerald returned an interception 15 yards for a touchdown. Northwestern is 4-1 and plays at Michigan State next.
Michigan, Wisconsin and Rutgers were off. The Week 7 look-ahead has every game on next week's card, and prices are on the weekly board.
